COLOMBO (News 1st); South Korea’s Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy, Chang Byung‑ha, met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, where regional security and recent developments were discussed.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Araghchi outlined what he described as crimes committed by the United States and the Israeli regime during a 40‑day aggression against Iran. He called on countries to adopt a clear and firm position in condemning these attacks.
Araghchi said U.S. and Israeli aggression is the root cause of insecurity in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
He emphasized that Iran, as a coastal state, has taken measures in line with international law to defend its security and national interests.
He added that responsibility for any consequences arising from these actions lies with the aggressors.
