Chinese Suspect Arrested In Kalubowila Murder

COLOMBO (News 1st): The suspect involved in the murder of a Chinese woman inside a room of a house in the Kalubowila area, Kohuwala, has been arrested along with a quantity of narcotics.

The Police stated that a team of officers from the Western Province South Crimes Division apprehended the suspect at a hotel located on Sir Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha, Kollupitiya.

Police also took into custody three cameras and 2 grams and 280 milligrams of "Ice" which were in the suspect's possession.

The 26-year-old Chinese suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court today.

The murder took place on the 23rd of last month.
