GMOA Strike Extended by Another 24 Hours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The strike action initiated by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) has been extended by another 24 hours.
The strike will continue until 8:00 AM tomorrow.
The decision was reached following a meeting of the Executive Committee of the GMOA.
The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) resumed their strike at 8:00 AM yesterday, citing unresolved issues regarding transfers on medical officers.
This marks the third time this week that the association has engaged in strike action on the matter.
