Fuel Prices and QR Quotas Revised from Midnight Yesterday

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Prices of fuel have been increased with effect from midnight yesterday (21).

The price of a litre of Octane 95 petrol has been increased by Rs. 90. and the new price is currently at Rs. 455 per litre.

According to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, The price of Octane 92 petrol has been increased by Rs. 81, the new price is Rs. 398 per litre.

The price of Super Diesel has also been increased by Rs. 90, bringing the new price to Rs. 443 per litre.

The price of Auto Diesel has been increased by Rs. 79, and the new price is Rs. 382 per litre.

Prices of Kerosene have been increased by Rs. 60 per litre, raising the new price to Rs. 255 per litre. 

Meanwhile, the fuel quota issued under the QR code system has also been revised with effect from midnight yesterday (21).

Accordingly:
The weekly fuel quota for motorcars has been increased by 10 litres, bringing the total to 25 litres.

Fuel quota for Motorcycles has been increased to 8 litres per week, marking an increase of 3 litres.

The quota for three-wheelers has been increased by 5 litres, raising the quota to 20 litres.

The fuel quota for buses has been increased by 40 litres, bringing the weekly allocation to 100 litres.

Vans will receive an additional 10 litres, increasing their weekly quota to 50 litres.

The fuel quota for lorries and special-purpose vehicles remains unchanged.
