COLOMBO (News 1st): The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka reports that most flights to and from the Middle East continue to face delays due to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Director General Daminda Rambukwella stated that only around four flights operated yesterday.

He added that a review of arrivals and departures revealed a noticeable drop in flight operations, with only a few flights managed to operate.

These included a flight operated by SalamAir that arrived and departed, as well as flights operated by Etihad Airways and SriLankan Airlines.

Director General Daminda Rambukwella said most other foreign carriers have cancelled their scheduled flights due to the closure of several airports and restricted airspace in the region, reflecting the ongoing tense situation.
