Deputy Minister Inquires into Injured Sri Lankans from Middle East Tensions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Four Sri Lankans who sustained injuries due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arun Hemachandra, said that three of the individuals were personally contacted via telephone to check on their well-being. 

While the fourth individual could not be reached directly, the Deputy Minister confirmed that their status had been verified through the respective embassies.

The Deputy Minister further emphasized that ensuring the security and welfare of Sri Lankans living abroad remains a top government priority.

Additionally, the Ministry is maintaining constant communication through diplomatic channels to monitor the situation of citizens in high-tension zones.
