House of Organized Criminal's Wife Targeted in Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A house belonging to the wife of 'Batuwatte Chamara', an organized criminal currently living abroad, was shot at in Weligampitiya, Ja-Ela early this morning.
Police said the shooting occurred around 1:25 a.m. using a T-56 firearm, and that another house was also targeted.
Authorities noted that the same house had been shot at twice in December 2024.
