Lorry Crashes into Utility Pole and School Van in Boralesgamuwa

COLOMBO (News 1st): The driver of a lorry was injured in an accident after the vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the Rattanapitiya area of Boralesgamuwa.

Police stated that the driver had fallen asleep, causing the lorry to hit the utility pole and subsequently collide with a school van transporting students coming from the opposite direction.

No students in the school van were harmed in the accident.

According to the police, the injured driver has been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.

The Boralesgamuwa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
