208 Middle East Flights Cancelled Over Safety Concerns says Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) states that 208 flights to the Middle East have been cancelled so far.

Director General Dhaminda Rabukwella noted that this decision was made pending the completion of safety and security analyses regarding the current situation.

However, flights continue to operate to cities and countries such as London, Paris, Australia, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, and India.

The Director General further added that following the opening of Omani airspace, one flight departed for Oman early this morning.
