COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has announced that SriLankan Airlines flights will be rerouted following the closure of Iranian and Israeli airspace.

As a result, travel time on affected flights is expected to increase by approximately one hour.

Daily flights UL 503 and UL 504, operating between Colombo and London, will now fly via Saudi Arabia.

The airspace closure comes amid escalating military tensions between Iran and Israel earlier today.
