COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will travel to India on the 19th of February to participate in the India AI Impact Summit.
The summit, which begins on 16th of February, will bring together representatives from 45 countries and is being held under the core themes of People, Planet, and Progress.
The World Leaders’ segment of the summit will commence on February 19. At the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders from 20 countries are expected to attend.
In addition to President Dissanayake, participants will include French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Prime Ministers and Vice Presidents from Bhutan, Spain, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and several other nations are also expected to attend.
The summit will feature in-depth discussions on how artificial intelligence can support human development, environmental protection, and economic progress, as well as the formulation of global policies in these areas.
Executives from leading technology companies, including Google, Nvidia, and Microsoft, are also expected to participate.
During the visit, President Dissanayake is expected to hold bilateral talks with several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron.
