Three Bus Drivers Arrested in Panadura for Operating Under Influence of Cannabis

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three bus drivers were found to have consumed cannabis during a specialized inspection carried out at the Panadura bus stand.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Traffic Control & Road Safety, W.P.J. Senadheera, says that 88 bus drivers were tested during the operation today.

The drivers confirmed to have used cannabis were arrested, and their buses were taken into police custody.

Police have launched operations across various regions using mobile laboratories to identify drivers operating public transport vehicles under the influence of narcotics.
