Final Rites of Latha Walpola to Be Held at Independence Square Tomorrow'

COLOMBO (News 1st); A large number of artists, politicians, scholars, and fans gathered last night to pay their final respects to the late singer Latha Walpola.

Her remains  currently lies at a private funeral parlour in Borella.

Public tributes will be accepted until 10.00 p.m. today.

The funeral ceremony of singer Latha Walpola is scheduled to take place tomorrow evening at Independence Square in Colombo with full state sponsorship.

Following the ceremony, her remains will be laid to rest at the Borella Cemetery.
