COLOMBO (News 1st); A Chinese delegation led by Wang Junzheng, member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region, called on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Wang Junzheng, member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region had stated during the meeting that China will continue to provide all necessary support to Sri Lanka and expressed readiness to share China’s experience in implementing the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ program.
President Dissanayake extended his gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by China during the recent disaster and appreciated China’s unwavering support in helping Sri Lanka recover during this challenging period.
The President also briefed the Chinese delegation further on the progress and objectives of the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ initiative.
Wang Junzheng further announced that China will ensure the continuity of ongoing projects in Sri Lanka with Chinese government support and assist in launching new development projects.
Meanwhile, speaking at a conference held in Colombo this afternoon, Wang Junsheng said that China firmly believes that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has the capability to lead Sri Lanka’s recovery from the disaster situation.
