Water supply fully restored; Repairs to Households free of charge

COLOMBO (News 1st);The water supply, which was disrupted across the island due to the recent weather disasters, has now been fully restored.

Engineer Chandana Bandara, Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, said that any damage to household water connections caused by the disasters will be repaired free of charge.

He also mentioned that the financial cost of the total damage sustained by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board as a result of the recent weather disasters is estimated at 5.6 billion rupees.
