Five Navy Personnel Missing In Flood Response Mission

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Navy has initiated a special search operation in the Chundikkulam area after five naval personnel went missing during an effort to widen a waterway earlier today.

According to the Navy Spokesperson, the team was engaged in flood mitigation work.

Search and rescue units have been deployed immediately, as authorities race against time to locate the missing sailors.
