President AKD Pledges Unwavering Support to Security Forces contributing to the countrywide mission “A Nation United”

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says he will stand up for members of the security forces in any difficult situation.

The President made this statement while speaking at an event to launch the National Drug Prevention Operation titled "A Nation United" in the Southern Province. 

The event was held at the Tangalle Public Playground today.

The initiative aims to eliminate the narcotics threat and dismantle drug trafficking networks that endanger the lives of the nation’s youth.

During the event, members of the security forces involved in raids under the National Drug Prevention Operation were also recognized and appreciated.

The drug prevention program under the theme “A Nation United”, was inaugurated on the 30th of October at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
