Southern Province Governor Bandula Harischandra Passes Away

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Governor of the Southern Province, Bandula Harischandra, has passed away while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Colombo National Hospital.

He was 62 years old at the time of his death.

Harischandra, a senior administrative officer in the country, was appointed to the post of Governor of the Southern Province last year.

He had held several government positions, including District Secretary and Ministry Secretary.
