Suspect Linked to Drug Trafficker 'Dilum' in Japan, Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st): A close associate of a suspect named Dilum, who allegedly conducts drug trafficking operations in Sri Lanka from Japan, has been arrested with 50 grams and 30 milligrams of 'Ice' narcotic (crystal methamphetamine).

The Police Special Task Force (STF) says that the arrest was made based on information received from officials of the State Intelligence Service.

The suspect was arrested while travelling in a motor vehicle in Welikada. 

Based on information received from the suspect, two more drug traffickers were arrested in Welikada and Mulleriyawa areas.

The Police STF said that a foreign-made pistol, one magazine, nine 9mm bullets, along with 12 grams and 35 milligrams of 'Ice' narcotic were discovered in possession from one of the suspects.
