COLOMBO(News 1st);President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the country needs a state service that fulfills its professional responsibilities diligently.
Addressing a Sri Lanka Air Force event held today in Trincomalee, the President stated that the Air Force will be entrusted with a special responsibility in combating the drug menace.
Presidential colours were presented to the No. 3 Maritime Squadron of the Sri Lanka Air Force, cadet officers were commissioned, and flight badges were awarded today at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay, in Trincomalee, under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake
A total of 66 cadet officers and officers were commissioned during the ceremony.
Flight badges were awarded to officers who completed the 103rd Flying Cadet Officer Course, presented personally by the President.
The President also took part in presenting special awards to cadet officers who displayed exceptional skills during the course.
