COLOMBO (News 1st); A special commemorative stamp marking the 75th anniversary of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) was officially unveiled by the Philatelic Bureau of the Department of Posts, celebrating a legacy of economic stewardship and national service.
The stamp, themed “Stability for Prosperity,” pays tribute to CBSL’s seven-and-a-half decades of commitment to maintaining financial stability, guiding monetary policy, and supporting national development.
More than just a collector’s item, the stamp symbolizes the Central Bank’s enduring role in shaping Sri Lanka’s economic landscape — from its early post-independence years to its modern-day efforts in navigating global financial challenges.
