COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka’s export sector has demonstrated commendable and steady growth during the first seven months of 2025, according to the Export Development Board (EDB).
From January to July 2025, total export earnings amounted to USD 9,992.53 million, marking a 7.79% increase compared to the same period last year.
In July 2025 alone, export earnings from goods and services stood at USD 1,641.11 million, reflecting a 12.68% year-on-year increase.
Chairman of the Export Development Board, Mangala Wijesinghe, stated that these positive results underscore the effectiveness of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the export sector, expanding international market access, and improving global competitiveness.
