Personal Dispute Leads To Fatal Stabbing In Divulapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police say a man was stabbed to death at a restaurant in Dunagaha, Divulapitiya. His wife was also injured in the attack.

Authorities say the incident followed a personal dispute. 

The couple had visited the restaurant last night and argued with the owner, They were then attacked by three people, including the restaurant owner, with sharp weapons.

The 46-year-old man, seriously injured in the attack, later succumbed to his injuries at the Gampaha District General Hospital. His 40-year-old wife is currently receiving treatment.

Police are continuing investigations to apprehend the suspects who fled following the attack.

Meanwhile, a body was discovered near the Tangalle Base Hospital. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
