STF Deployed to Wanathamulla to Tackle Crime Wave

COLOMBO (News 1st): A Special Task Force (STF) unit has been deployed to the Wanathamulla area in Borella, to enhance security.

According to Police Headquaters, the move aims to curb the rising incidents of shootings and drug trafficking in the area.

Police added that steps are underway to establish a police station in the vicinity, with the relevant proposal to be submitted to the Ministry of Public Security for swift approval.
