Suspect Injured In Police Shooting During Arrest In Kaduwela

Colombo(News 1st); A suspect was injured in a police shooting in the Weliwita area of Kaduwela.

Police said the suspect attacked officers with a sharp weapon while they were attempting to arrest a warrant officer.

Officers opened fire to stop the attack.

Police stated that the warrant officer, who was also injured in the shooting, was taken to the hospital.

A police officer was injured in the incident as well.
