COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo High Court resumed hearings in the corruption case filed against former Minister Johnston Fernando and two other defendants.
The case pertains to allegations that employees of Sathosa were removed from their official duties and engaged in political activities, causing financial losses to the government during Fernando’s tenure as Minister of Trade.
The hearing took place before High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne.
Deputy Solicitor General Wasantha Perera, led the testimony from former Chief Financial Officer of Sathosa, Nimesha Sanjeewani.
The next hearing is scheduled for October 16.
The case was filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against:
