COLOMBO (News 1st); The fourth Test of the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy between India and host nation England concluded in a draw.

India, batting first, posted 358 runs in their first innings. Sai Sudharsan contributed a solid 61 runs, while England’s Ben Stokes led the bowling attack with an impressive five-wicket haul.

England responded emphatically, piling up 669 runs in their first innings. Joe Root scored a commanding 150, and captain Ben Stokes added 141, putting the hosts in a strong position.

India’s second innings saw a spirited comeback, led by captain Shubman Gill, who scored a century. Gill’s performance earned him a place in the record books as the Asian batter with the highest aggregate against England in a single Test series, and as the third Indian to score four centuries in a Test series.

Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja also shone with unbeaten scores of 101 and 107 respectively. India ended their second innings at 425/4, ensuring the match ended without a result.

With one match remaining in the five-Test series, England leads 2–1, keeping the series alive and setting the stage for a thrilling finale.
