Prison Shake-Up: Welikada, Mahara, and Magazine Get New Leadership

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Prisons has announced the transfer of 16 senior prison officials, effective from July 2.

The reshuffle includes:

2 Special Grade Prison Superintendents
1 Prison Superintendent
8 Assistant Prison Superintendents
5 Acting Prison Superintendents

Among the notable transfers:

A.C. Gajanayake, Special Grade Superintendent, has been moved from Bogambara Prison to the Prison Headquarters.

D.R.S. Silva, Special Grade Superintendent, has been transferred from Mahara Prison to Welikada Prison.

Sudan Rohana, Acting Superintendent at Colombo Remand Prison, will now serve at Mahara Prison.
