Police Probe Execution-Style Killings Of Bus Driver and Father of Two

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police discovered the bodies of two men in the Thekka Watta area of Thorakolaya, MiDdeniya, following a suspected shooting incident early this morning.

According to police reports, the MidDeniya Police received information that two individuals were found lying on the roadside, bleeding. 

A special investigation team was dispatched to the location, where both men were confirmed dead upon arrival.

The victims have been identified as residents of Embilipitiya: a 40-year-old bus driver named Chamal Abeykoon from Udagalaara, and a 26-year-old father of two, Kalum Tushara, who had recently returned to Sri Lanka after living abroad. 

Police stated that Tushara was unemployed at the time of the incident.

A motorcycle believed to belong to the victims was found near the bodies. 

Investigators suspect that the men were brought to the location and shot with a 9mm pistol. 

Four empty bullet casings were recovered from the scene.

The motive behind the killings remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
