COLOMBO (News 1st) - Several ministries have launched joint reforms to improve access to government services for Sri Lankans living abroad and to fully digitize services at foreign missions. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, Tourism, and Digital Economy will collaborate to implement these changes.
Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne emphasized that this cooperation is a vital step toward enhancing efficiency for Sri Lankans overseas in the digital age.
He added that the reforms aim to facilitate smooth, safe, and efficient processes for services such as passport renewals and compensation payments.
