COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the discovery of a gold-colored T-56 assault rifle at a luxury apartment complex in Wellawatte.
The arrest was made earlier today by officers from the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) while Dissanayake was residing at a high-rise apartment in the Thimbirigasyaya area.
The investigation began on May 20, when a Kazakh national and her mother-in-law were arrested after a gold-colored T-56 rifle was found in their possession at an apartment complex.
