Major Drug Busts in Weeraketiya and BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police reported that over 100 kilograms of narcotics were discovered at a house in Athopode, Weeraketiya, following a tip-off.

Two suspects were taken into custody during the raid.

In a separate incident, Sri Lanka Customs arrested four individuals at Katunayake Airport after discovering 7 kilograms and 150 grams of Kush concealed in their luggage. 

The suspects, all Sri Lankans, had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, last night.

The estimated street value of the seized Kush is Rs. 71.5 million, according to Customs officials. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
