Suspect Arrested with 91 Illegally Imported Mobile Phones at BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested an individual at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for attempting to smuggle 91 mobile phones into the country.

Authorities say the mobile phones were brought in without the approval of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRCSL), making the importation illegal.
