24 Kandy Schools To Reopen On Monday

Colombo (News 1st); Schools in Kandy that were closed due to the Veneration of the Sacred tooth Relic of Lord Buddah will reopen in two phases.

Central Province Chief Secretary Ajith Premasinghe stated that 24 schools will reopen next Monday (28th April).

These schools were initially closed to ease traffic congestion in the Kandy town.

Another 37 schools, which were used to accommodate security personnel involved in the pilgrimage, will reopen next Tuesday (29th April) after cleaning.
