Attempted Shooting: Suspect Apprehended, Another at Large

COLOMBO (News 1st); In a dramatic turn of events, police have arrested one suspect involved in an attempted shooting at a residence in the Adiambalama area of Katunayake. 

The incident occurred when two individuals arrived at the house on a motorcycle and attempted to flee after the shooting.

According to police reports, one of the suspects tried to shoot the homeowner with a pistol.

However, the firearm malfunctioned, prompting the suspect to escape with the pistol.

Meanwhile, the second suspect attempted to climb over the house's wall but suffered a broken leg in the process. Local residents managed to apprehend him.

Police have recovered a revolver from the arrested suspect, and investigations are underway to locate the suspect who fled.
