One Injured in Shooting in Balapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - One person was injured in a shooting incident that occurred near Revatha College in Balapitiya around 9 p.m. last night.

Police Spokesperson SSP Buddhika Manatunga confirmed that the injured individual was admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital for treatment.

According to initial investigations, the victim had reportedly gone near the college based on a request from another individual, when he was shot by a person who had been hiding in the vicinity.
