Gampaha Shooting: Assailants Flee After Targeting Lorry

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday (15) night in the Gampaha town. The incident took place around 8:25 PM.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Buddhika Manathunga, the shooting was carried out by two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle and targeted a small lorry.

Fortunately, no one traveling in the lorry was harmed.

The shooting was directed at two residents from the areas of Udugampola and Makevita. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Gampaha police officers are conducting further investigations into the incident.
