Nearly 1,000 SLTB Staff Reassigned To Meet New Year Demand

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Transport says that nearly 1,000 SLTB drivers and conductors who had been removed from regular duties due to disciplinary issues have been reassigned to Avurudu passenger transport services.

The Ministry emphasized that disciplinary investigations against the concerned staff members will continue despite their temporary reassignment.

In addition, around 200 buses that had previously been removed from service have been repaired and returned to operation to support New Year transport needs.
