Police Arrest Key Suspect in Grandpass Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested the suspect involved in the recent shooting incident in the Nagalagam Street area of Grandpass.

The arrest was made by a team from the Grandpass Police, who identified the suspect as a 32-year-old resident of the area.

The shooting, which occurred on the night of March 17th, was carried out by two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle.

The incident left two people injured, both of whom were hospitalized for treatment.

The arrested suspect is expected to be presented before the Hultsdorp Magistrate's Court.

Meanwhile, three additional suspects and one female accomplice have also been taken into custody for aiding and abetting the crime.
