COLOMBO (News 1st); The Dutch Ambassador to Sri Lanka has announced that the Netherlands is preparing to return six more artifacts taken during the colonial period.
The announcement was made during a meeting with Dr. Sunil Senevi, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
The artifacts to be returned include a ring, an ivory jewelry box, two large cannons, Mortar and pestle made using ivory, and an antique teak chair. These items are currently stored securely in the Netherlands.
