Sri Lanka Wants To Turn Entrepreneurs into Global Players

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan government is aiming to transforming the local business community into international entrepreneurs, according to Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti.

Minister Handunnetti emphasized the importance of revitalizing industrial promotion mechanisms that had previously been underutilized due to political interference. 

He stated, "We need to revive these mechanisms. Our goal is to turn local entrepreneurs into international business figures. We must find ways to spend a rupee and earn a dollar, given the vast global economy and our small population."
