Tragic Collision on Southern Expressway: One Dead, Two Injured

COLOMBO (News 1st); A fatal accident occurred on the Southern Expressway between the Welipenna and Dodangoda interchanges, resulting in the death of one individual.

According to the police, the accident happened early this morning when a jeep collided with a stationary car on the expressway.

The deceased has been identified as a 34-year-old resident of Beruwala. 

Additionally, two individuals, including a police officer who was traveling in the jeep, sustained injuries and have been hospitalized.
