Acting IGP Submits List OF Police OICs Who Refused Transfers

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Acting Inspector General of Police has submitted a list of 44 Police OICs who refused their transfers to the National Police Commission.

Previously, the Police Commission rejected these refusals, insisting that valid reasons must be provided.

The Ministry of Public Security says that accordingly, the Acting IGP has now submitted a formal request to the National Police Commission, justifying the refusal of these transfers.

The ministry further stated that more Police OICs will be transferred in the near future.
