Ministry of Fisheries to Produce Ice After Unsuccessful Talks with Ice Mill Owners

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic, and Ocean Resources Rathna Gamage says that the Ministry will take steps to produce ice in the future to meet the needs of the fishing community.
He said that discussions were held with ice mill owners to secure ice at a reasonable price.
The Ministry requested that ice mills provide one ice cube for Rs. 400.
However, Deputy Minister Gamage stated that these discussions were unsuccessful.
