Colombo (News 1st): Sri Lanka's Supreme Court determines that the Local Authorities Election (Special Provisions)
Bill can only be passed by a special majority as Clauses 2 and 3 are inconsistent with Article 12(1) of Constitution.
The determination was announced by the speaker.
