Special Traffic Plan for Gangaramaya Perahera

COLOMBO (News 1st); Due to the Gangaramaya Navam Maha Perahera, a special traffic plan will be in effect today and tomorrow in the surrounding areas. 

The Police Media Division announced that several roads will be temporarily closed during the procession times.

The affected roads include:

Ramanayake Mawatha, Colombo
Hunupitiya Wewa Road Junction
Dharmapala Mawatha
Park Street
Colvin R. de Silva Mawatha, 
and Hyde Park Corner Junction.

These closures will only be in place while the procession is passing through.

The police have assured that they will make every effort to allow vehicular movement whenever the procession is not on the streets.
