Employers Must Register Employees with EPF Within 30 Days

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Labour Department has introduced a new registration process for members under the Employees' Provident Fund Act.

According to the new regulations, employers are required to register their employees with the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) within 30 days of hiring.

Labour Commissioner General H.K.K.A. Jayasundara stated that employers must call 011 2201201 to schedule an appointment for the registration process.

This new system aims to streamline the registration process and ensure compliance with the EPF Act.
