Russian Military Delegation Meets Army Chief

COLOMBO (News 1st); Major General Alexander Ivanovich Zinchenko, Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, along with his delegation, met Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, at the Army Headquarters on 27th January 2025.

The delegation included Colonel Roman Sergeyevich Matytsin, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Olegovich Panasenkov, Captain 2nd Rank Denis Anatolievich Kleyev, Major Anton Viktorovich Zhuykov, First Lieutenant Dmitry Alexandrovich Suzen, and Colonel Sergei N Beliankin, Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka.

During the interactive discussion, the Army Chief shared insightful thoughts with the delegation, acknowledging the long-standing bonds of goodwill, cooperation, and understanding between the armed forces of their respective countries.

At the conclusion of the cordial meeting, an exchange of mementos took place as a token of goodwill from the Sri Lanka Army, and the gesture was reciprocated.
