COLOMBO (News 1st) - Four suspended fishery harbour development projects will be resumed following a recent discussion between the Acting French Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources.

The projects, which include the development of harbours in Galle, Kudawella, Beruwala, and Puranawella, were initially halted due to the economic crisis in 2022.

The development of these fishery harbours was part of a five-year plan initiated in 2021, with the assistance of the French Development Agency.

The projects are set to continue until 2026.
