Four Suspects Arrested in Connection with Double Homicide in Mt Lavinia

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the double homicide that occurred in the Watrappala area of Mount Lavinia. 

The arrests were made in the Bloemendhal, Mattakkuliya, and Kohuwala areas.

The suspects, aged between 17 and 29, are believed to be involved in the shooting incident that took place on January 7. 

Two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle shot and killed two people at a residence in the Watrappala area before fleeing the scene.

During the investigation, police apprehended the suspects and seized a motorcycle believed to have been used in the crime. 

Interrogations revealed that the suspects were allegedly directed by two members of an organized crime gang and drug traffickers who are currently abroad.
